Fantastic guitar for the money! The satin neck if very comfortable, the Alnico 5 pickups (Fender upgraded these when they came out with the Player series) sound almost identical to my American Standard model, and the Lake Placid Blue is beautiful. Some reviews complain about setup work being needed, but mine needed very little: a slight truss rod adjustment and set the intonation. I've played for 40+ years, and have had both cheap and non-cheap (but not high-dollar!) guitars. I can't imaging pulling a box fresh from the manufacturer's box and not needing some set up. This is an example of why the "made in Mexico" Fenders have the reputation for lots of bang for the buck.
